"was always a fan when they were at grid and went to their new outlet to try some of their new menu and also their jjampong. They definitely upgraded their recipe and the way they cooked it cause the jjampong had such a deep flavour, it was really good! the kkalguksu had a very clean peppery deep taste too! it was so so good!!! the staff were very friendly to us even when we left quite on the dot before their closing time (sorry) really loved the atmosphere there!!! would suggest to reserve a table before coming cause it was quite packed i’d say. definitely will come here again to try other items on the menu!!! <3"

"We came on Sunday evening (16/11) with no reservation and the lady at the counter was so accommodating for our last-minute dining option. The food was really good! Very similar to the one I had in Korea. Been wanting to visit since their GRID days but the location was kinda inaccessible. Food portion is huge (keep it that way please) so please don’t overorder like we did. Service is top-notch. The very friendly lady whom I believe might be the owner is such a nice lady. Before we left she was nice enough to give 2x pororo drink to two of my young nephews. Such a great gesture and we appreciate the kindness. We definitely will come back again soon. Thanks for giving us a great first impression and may your business succeed"

"Absolutely in love with the Kimbaps!!! It’s so so so good!!! Really yummy! Just eating gives happiness! The ingredients are fresh. Very beautifully wrapped and delicately sliced to perfect bite size. Highly recommend! Do not give this a miss!!! Beef or Tuna or Sausage - all the flavors are superb! Thank you to the chef for the lovely handmade Kimbaps! We absolutely love it!"

"Was kindof sad when Meokja closed down their outlet at POMO. Tapi alhamdullilah, they opened a bigger one along N.Bridge Rd, smacked right between Hai Ge Ji and Ramen Stall. The new Meokja has increased seating capacity with a double storey seating, with 6 seats (3 tables of 2 diners) available and more seatings upstairs at level 2. Atmosphere wise, it has some slightly deemed lightings, which allows for a more relaxing and chilled mood. Some of the seats come with underseat bins for bag storage. Service is much quicker than previously. Even though Meokja had "expanded", they have just the right number of well trained staffs to keep the work flow steady. The deliverance of food from kitchen to table, takes approximately 7 to 8 minutes upon successful ordering. The staffs are well groomed and the new uniform looks nicer. Friendly and welcoming. The food... Ordered the tangsuyuk, dakgalbi hansang combo, and gukbap set. Tangsuyuk : The batter is kindof tasteless, but paired with the sauce....?? Mmmmmhmmm... The sauce had improved and is much more nice than before. It brings about the normal sweetness that it normally has, as well as a fragrant, fruity and flowery scent. Gukbap Set : Other than the soup which is filled with a generous amount of tender beef which falls easily apart, it comes with rice, kimchi, radish kimchi, salt and pepper (for the meat). Dakgalbi Hansang Combo : Rice served with kimchi stew, korean steamed egg, dakglbi chicken, and some side dishes. Generous portion. If you hasn't tried Meokja or visited the new outlet, do give it a try. Preferably with reservation. Will come back again to try other things."

"Overall a very good meal. For 8 adults and 1 child we were set back about $340. Even though it was a halal korean restaurant, it didn't feel like it. The Tangsuyuk, even though made with chicken, tasted fantastic. Good texture, light but crispy batter, tender meat. Fried chicken was alright and felt it lost compared to the Tangsuyuk. The other mains were all great. Overall good food. Space was a tad bit cramp but it's just the nature of the location. The restaurant was quite full so the service staff were definitely running around a lot. They tried their best to provide good service."

"Came with no reservation, we were seated almost immediately with an hour of turnover time for the next reservation (food were served 10-15mins after order placed) No issue for a quick lunch. Food was delicious. Service from the male server yesterday (Sorry did not get his name) was very welcoming and good. The restaurant is small and kind of squeezy. I kept bumping on the customer seated behind me, and imagine having a bowl of hot kimchi soup and you can't feel the aircon Overall, our tummy were well fed!"

"after their revamp, i gotta say their food got better! my main was the bimbimguksu and it was easily one of the best!! the steamed egg, tangsuyuk and bulgogi were crazy good too!! the only thing that was off was probably the kimchi?? the sourness tasted like dishsoap someway somehow. but i will come again to try other dishes!!"
